A day spa in Mallorca: what it costs
Access to the water circuit for outside visitors costs between twenty and forty five euros, and a day package with circuit, a fifty minute treatment and lunch runs between ninety and one hundred and ninety euros per person.

You do not have to be staying to use a hotel spa. Many open to outside visitors, and that is where the day packages come in.
The options
Simple access to the water circuit for a session of 90 or 120 minutes. Access plus a short treatment of 25 or 30 minutes. A half day package with circuit and a 50 minute massage. And a full package with circuit, a longer treatment and lunch in the hotel restaurant. Each step adds time and price, and the middle option is usually the most booked.

When it is cheaper
Monday to Thursday, with differences of 15 to 30 per cent against the weekend, and in low season from November to March, when many establishments run promotions to fill the circuit. Morning slots are usually quieter than afternoons. And books of 5 visits, discounted 10 to 20 per cent, pay for themselves from the third use.
What to check before booking
Whether robe, towel and sandals are included or hired at 5 € to 15 €. Whether a minimum age applies, which is common in adult oriented establishments. Whether the circuit runs in timed sessions with limited capacity, frequent in season. And whether the package includes free use of the circuit or only the period before the treatment, a distinction that changes the experience considerably.
Closing time matters too: many circuits close at 20:00 and last admission is up to 90 minutes earlier.
Making the most of it
Arrive with time in hand and start with the circuit before the treatment. Take fluids throughout the session. Book the massage towards the end of the day, when the body is prepared. And do not chain the spa to a demanding activity afterwards: the effect is better used with a quiet afternoon than by driving straight back across the sierra.
